Spring has sprung, but in Denver it looks more like winter than winter did. We are still getting snow as of April 27th… I’m getting antsy and want to start enjoying my mountain hikes again. I love this time of year even with the unpredictable weather, but I’m ready for this snow stuff to go away.
This time of year is particularly interesting from a spiritual point of view because beginning with the Easter Festival after the first full moon of spring we are in a period that is known as the higher interlude. This is the three months of the Aries, Taurus and Gemini full moons which are celebrated as the Easter Festival, The Wesak Festival which we are about to enjoy on the full moon of May 8th and then the festival of the Christ in Gemini on Sunday June 7th.
The Wesak Festival is something many of us in the west don’t know about but it is an incredible spiritual event and is celebrated around the world. It is unique in that even though many different religions celebrate holidays at or about the same time they are usually completely separate rites. Some of the traditions blur the lines a bit but you know whether you are celebrating Christmas or Chanukah and in a sense, never the twain shall meet. Wesak is different in that it is a celebration of the Christ and the Buddha jointly.
It is at this one time each year that the Christ and the Buddha join together with the 21 Masters of the Ashrams of the 7 rays to prepare a channel for the spiritual influences outside of our solar system to flow down to receptive human minds. This channel needs the responsive disciples and men and women of goodwill everywhere to act as a medium of transmission to the rest of humanity and is an opportunity to renew our efforts in service. There is a literal ceremony in a specific valley in Tibet and both the Christ and that Buddha participate among the disciples and initiates present whether in physical or astral bodies. Participation in this event is worldwide in the form of group meditations.
I am not going to go through a description of the ceremony itself but the core message is unity in cooperation. The Christ, the world teacher side by side with other ascended Masters of Wisdom, receiving the Buddha, an emissary of the force center known as Shamballa, opening a door to energies that are not otherwise available and allowing a tremendous down-flowing of energy stimulating those of receptive minds. This is a moment when conscious expansion is more readily available than at any other time of the year.
If this sounds way out there, just consider the possibility that only one religious doctrine is true and all of the rest of the people of the world worship false gods or prophets. That no truth is to be found outside of that one particular doctrine regardless of any similarities that may be found among the teachings of the others. If that is hard to swallow, and I hope it is, then consider the possibility that there could be many enlightened masters who are revered by the world’s religious systems and are conscious on levels we can only imagine. Then think about whether it is possible that these great and august beings would not be aware of each other or would not cooperate with one another. If they do exist, they do not exist separately. These masters form a spiritual hierarchy for our planet and are working constantly in service of humanity.
Please join them in this celebration. Even if the only thing you can do is to think about unity or meditate alone at the time of the full moon. Hold humanity as a whole within your heart and open your mind to the energy which will precipitate down from the Buddha and the Christ, the Hierarchy, the new group of world servers and the men and women of goodwill everywhere on the earth. You will be performing a great act of service to humanity, even if none of what I have proposed is true. The need of the world is so great, and the present circumstances so critical, that many spiritually minded people are thinking to ask for divine intervention. There are spiritual Forces and great spiritual Intelligences and Lives, that are aware of what is going on upon our planet, and can be called upon for their guiding wisdom and that loving stimulation which will guide humanity from darkness into light, from separation into unity.
